Privacy

The short version

• Your data is yours. The projects, conversations, and files you create belong to you.
• We don't train on your data. Your content is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model — ours or anyone else's.
• We don't sell your data. Ever.
• You can delete it. Delete a file, a project, or your whole account, and we remove it.
• We only share what's needed to run the service — with the categories of providers described below, for the sole purpose of delivering features you use.

What we collect and store

• Account. Your email and a securely hashed password — or, if you sign in through a third-party account, the identifier that provider gives us instead of a password. We also keep basic sign-in records (e.g. your last sign-in time).
• Your content. The projects you create, the messages in each project's chat, and the files you generate or upload. Files are kept in private storage scoped to your account; chat history is kept so the assistant has context.
• Usage & diagnostics. Service-usage measures (such as how much you use the assistant and cloud compute) and standard technical logs — including your IP address, approximate location (city/region/country), device/browser information, and request times — which we use to operate, secure, debug, and understand use of the service.
• In your browser. We store a sign-in token in your browser's local storage so you stay logged in. It's not an advertising cookie and isn't used for tracking.

How your content is processed

When you chat or ask Clawdeck to create or edit a file, your message and the relevant project context are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, solely to generate that response or document, and returned to you. This processing is for your request only. Under Anthropic's API terms, API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models, and we add no training use of our own.

When you turn on cloud compute (a desktop or GPU) or run code, the relevant project files and anything you run are processed on isolated, managed compute so the assistant can carry out the task; results and any new files sync back to your project. When you use voice input, your audio recording is sent to a speech-to-text service to transcribe it into text, and the recording is not retained afterward.

Third parties we work with

To deliver the service we rely on a small set of trusted providers, who process your data only on our instructions and only for the purpose shown. We share the minimum needed and never sell your data. The categories of recipients are:

• AI provider (Anthropic) — to generate the assistant's responses and the documents/code you ask for.
• Cloud hosting & storage providers — to run the application and store your account, projects, and files.
• Sandboxed compute providers — to run the isolated desktop/GPU environments and execute code you request, when you turn compute on.
• A speech-to-text provider — to transcribe your voice input into text, if you use voice.
• A sign-in provider — to verify your identity, if you choose to sign in with a third-party account.
• An IP-geolocation service — to look up the approximate location of an IP address for security and analytics; only the IP address is shared, never your account or content.

International transfers

We're based in the United States and some of the providers above process data in the US or other countries. Where personal data of EEA/UK users is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the providers' standard contractual clauses) to protect it.

Your rights (GDPR)

Clawdeck complies with the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you're in the EEA/UK, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Our lawful bases for processing are performing the service you've requested (contract) and our legitimate interest in operating and securing it. To exercise any right, contact us at the address below — we respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Retention & security

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete content or your account, it is removed from our systems (deleting your account removes your projects, files, chat history, and usage records); limited technical logs may persist for a short period for security and troubleshooting. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and access is restricted to your authenticated account.
